Nibbler and Mikayla

Our poor dogs don't get quite as much attention as they used to. It's not that we love them any less, but Mikayla really does require our full attention. So our dogs feel a little left out sometimes. Well our puggle, Nibbler, feels left out. Our chihuahua, Frankie, refuses to acknowledge there is a baby in the house (one time he sniffed Mikayla for about a second, that's the most attention she's gotten from him).

I keep telling Nibbler that Mikayla is going to be her best friend one day and I'm sure this is true. Mikayla can't keep her eyes off Nibbler. Nibbler is the light of her life. Mikayla could be tired and cranky but as soon as she catches sight of Nibbler she gets the biggest smile across her face. Sometimes she even laughs, apparently Nibbler is pretty funny!

I let Nibbler sit on the glider with Mikayla during her 4-month photo shoot and their reactions were priceless. Here are some pictures and videos of Nibbler and Mikayla:

FOUR Months Old!

Mikayla is FOUR months old! Well I am a little late in posting this, so she is really almost 5 months old. Oh well, better late than never to show her 4 month pictures! 

The stats from her 4 month checkup:

Height: 24.5inches (25-50 percentile)
Weight: 14lbs 6 oz (50-75 percentile)
Head Circumference: 16.75 in (75-90 percentile)!!!

I was right! Her head has had a massive growth spurt! It's like an orange on a toothpick!

Can't Stop Jumping!

Mikayla loves her jumperoo more than ever these days. She will jump in it for as long as we let her. A few nights ago I decided to let her jump in it before bedtime and before I knew it, this is what I found:

Boxcar Child

It's true, kids love boxes! While we were on vacation in Pinecrest we discovered that Mikayla loved riding around in an empty wine box. It was like a little car made just for her. Here is a great video of her riding around in the box. Chris and my mom are so classic, it is hilarious!

First Wedding and Pinecrest Vacation!

A few weeks ago Mikayla had two very important firsts: her first trip to Pinecrest (annual family vacation spot) and her first wedding. She got to cross both of these firsts off the list at once because my cousin John got married in Pinecrest during our annual family vacation. It made Mikayla's first trip to Pinecrest extra special!  Here are some of the highlights:

 Mikayla was not too happy after the long drive to Pinecrest. When Mikayla is sad, everyone is sad!
