ELEVEN Months Old!

Mikayla is ELEVEN Months Old!! It seems like she turned 10 months old just yesterday (it probably seems like that to a lot of people since I just posted her 10 month pictures yesterday). It's true though, she's already eleven months and doing all sorts of crazy toddlerish things:
  • She's walking pretty well - she can get up to standing on her own and easily walk from one room to another while carrying multiple dolls or stuffed animals.
  • She's saying words - we can't really understand all of them, but she clearly thinks they mean something. "That" is her favorite word. Everything is "That."
  • She really enjoys sharing her food with Nibbler - one for Mikayla, one for Nibbler...

I LOVE Baby Dolls!!

I wave at and laugh at pretty much anything...hahaha!

Mikayla's First Easter: Part 4 The Cake

Part 4: The Cake!

This Easter Mikayla got to try her first piece of cake EVER! She even got to pick it out herself:

Picking a piece

Hmmm...was this the best piece?

A little late for the bib. Also, I think you spelled my name wrong.

I'll take some more of that cake!

Nom nom nom...

Mikayla's First Easter: Part 3 Go Pro Egg Hunt

Part 3: Go Pro Egg Hunt
Mikayla's First Easter Egg Hunt was kind of a big deal, so not surprisingly, we wanted to make sure to capture the experience from every angle. Luckily, my cousins have a Go Pro video camera which is built for just this kind of action! We strapped the Go Pro to Mikayla's chest and set her loose on the unsuspecting eggs. She kind of looked like Rambo or something - she was definitely fierce.

I "hid" the eggs in all sorts of hard spots like on the couch, on the window sill and in the middle of the floor. Mikayla picked up on the game rather quickly and was delighted to find that the eggs were filled with puffs, yogurt drops and teething biscuits! YUM!!

From Mikayla's perspective:

Forget eggs, this window crank is awe-some!

Mikayla's First Easter: Part 2 Basket

Part 2: Easter Basket

What is a First Easter without a first Easter basket? We got Mikayla a basket made out of felt so wouldn't hurt herself and it worked out great:

Mikayla was very curious to see what was inside of the super cool felt basket

Ah, the best thing in the basket was the confetti paper

The next best thing in the basket was a new bath time baby!

The treats in the basket were also kind of cool...

Mikayla's First Easter: Part 1 Wisteria Dress

Mikayla had such a great First Easter that it would be impossible to handle all that fun in just one blog post. So this is part one of a FOUR part series!

Part 1: Wisteria Dress
I got Mikayla's Easter dress as a gift at her Baby Shower over a year ago! It is now the perfect size for Mikayla and the perfect color to match the wisteria that just happened to be in full bloom on Easter Day! I couldn't have planned it better myself:

Happy Easter!!

VEEVA La Baby!

After seven or so years at EMC, Chris decided to move on and join a new software company called Veeva. Veeva is a large start up and Chris really likes the fast paced environment. Mikayla also likes Veeva because they gave her a onesie!

VEEEEEEVA!!
Veeva?
Mmmmmm...Veeeeeva!
Ah, Veeva!
Hey, Veeva!

Hair at Last!

Mikayla was quite bald at birth and we were beginning to wonder if she'd ever have hair. I'm pleased to announce her hair is finally growing! She's virtually like a Chia Pet. In fact, we just got her a brush and a comb to tame her wild mane. Check it out:

Grammy and Aunt Dawn Visit

Last month Mikayla got a very special visit from her Grammy Patty and her Aunt Dawn. She had a great time hanging out with them and showing them her advanced musical skills and demolition skills.

Smiles with Grammy!

TEN Months Old!

It seems like it was just yesterday that Mikayla turned 10 months old - really is was over a month ago! Even still, what better time than now to talk about what Mikayla was up to last month:

I'm TEN months old!
I just learned to walk! I think I'll walk right off this chair...

I still LOVE books! My Favorite are the I Spy Board Books.
HI!
Get this hat off of me, can't you see we're inside? This is ridiculous.
