Mikayla is ELEVEN Months Old!! It seems like she turned 10 months old just yesterday (it probably seems like that to a lot of people since I just posted her 10 month pictures yesterday). It's true though, she's already eleven months and doing all sorts of crazy toddlerish things:
She's walking pretty well - she can get up to standing on her own and easily walk from one room to another while carrying multiple dolls or stuffed animals.
She's saying words - we can't really understand all of them, but she clearly thinks they mean something. "That" is her favorite word. Everything is "That."
She really enjoys sharing her food with Nibbler - one for Mikayla, one for Nibbler...
I'm ELEVEN Months Old!
I LOVE Baby Dolls!!
I wave at and laugh at pretty much anything...hahaha!
Mikayla's First Easter Egg Hunt was kind of a big deal, so not surprisingly, we wanted to make sure to capture the experience from every angle. Luckily, my cousins have a Go Pro video camera which is built for just this kind of action! We strapped the Go Pro to Mikayla's chest and set her loose on the unsuspecting eggs. She kind of looked like Rambo or something - she was definitely fierce.
I "hid" the eggs in all sorts of hard spots like on the couch, on the window sill and in the middle of the floor. Mikayla picked up on the game rather quickly and was delighted to find that the eggs were filled with puffs, yogurt drops and teething biscuits! YUM!!
Mikayla had such a great First Easter that it would be impossible to handle all that fun in just one blog post. So this is part one of a FOUR part series!
Part 1: Wisteria Dress
I got Mikayla's Easter dress as a gift at her Baby Shower over a year ago! It is now the perfect size for Mikayla and the perfect color to match the wisteria that just happened to be in full bloom on Easter Day! I couldn't have planned it better myself:
Happy Easter!!
Do you like Green Egg and Hand?
I do so like Green Egg and Hand, Thank You, Thank You Sam-I Am!
After seven or so years at EMC, Chris decided to move on and join a new software company called Veeva. Veeva is a large start up and Chris really likes the fast paced environment. Mikayla also likes Veeva because they gave her a onesie!
Mikayla was quite bald at birth and we were beginning to wonder if she'd ever have hair. I'm pleased to announce her hair is finally growing! She's virtually like a Chia Pet. In fact, we just got her a brush and a comb to tame her wild mane. Check it out:
Did I miss a hair?
